Paediatric Post-Traumatic Haemorrhagic Shock

A 10-year-old boy was riding his bicycle down a road at a high speed when he tumbled over the handlebars. The child is now in pain, clutching his abdomen. He does not have cervical spine protection. The priority is to minimize blood loss, activate the Massive Hemorrhage Protocol (MHP), and administer warmed fluids with Tranexamic Acid (TXA). The primary goal is to educate, train, and assess the player’s knowledge of recognizing and managing blunt trauma in children. This module was developed in collaboration with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust
